About
My design philosophy centers on creating environments where people meaningfully engage with their surroundings, balancing pragmatism with creativity to develop spaces that are functional and beautiful. This approach, which has evolved through education, professional practice, and continued exploration, guides my current work at Rapt Studio.
At Rapt, I've led transformative designs for Macquarie, integrating a sculptural staircase within a modernist landmark building; for Figma, creating studios that enhance collaborative design processes; and for Duolingo, developing spaces that reflect their dynamic learning culture while balancing focused work with team interaction. Other projects include Google Marketing Live, a confidential project in Dubai, and DNFA. This work has received industry recognition through design awards and features in Interior Design, Fast Company, and other publications.
At TPG Architecture, I developed workplace solutions for Argo Group, Nex, and IEX, where I gained expertise in translating organizational requirements into functional environments while maintaining design integrity. Each project demanded sophisticated integration of various systems with thoughtful material selection and spatial planning.
I hold a Master of Science in Interior Design with Honors from Pratt Institute and a Bachelor's degree from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in Istanbul. I've also studied at the Copenhagen DIS and NABA Milan, where I was selected for a competitive position in their product design program.
My practice continues to evolve through each project, driven by observing how spaces influence human interaction and by exploring new approaches that balance functionality with distinctive spatial experiences.
